Announcing The 2016 Speakers lineup

The response to the call for speakers has been overwhelming as we received far more submissions that we are able to accept this year. The entire team would like to thank EVERYONE for taking the time to craft a submission and not making our job any easier.

More hours, and deliberation went into reviewing every proposal submitted than we care to admit. However we feel the extra work was worth the achievement of a well balanced program with something for EVERYONE.

Head on over to the speakers page to review the entire list of speakers here:

And remember to pickup your tickets to this amazing event. We are sure that you will not want to miss a single moment.

Updated Call for Speakers

WordCamp NYC is hosted in New York, NY on July 15-17, 2016. We are looking for amazing speakers in our community to share their knowledge, insight, skill, and experience. We are looking for anyone with a voice to submit a speaker proposal.

The submission deadline is 12am EDT (that’s 2400 a.k.a midnight) on Sunday, May 15th

By participating in WordCamp NYC 2016, you understand that portions of the event will be photographed and/or audio/video-recorded for use by the WordPress Foundation.

You agree that the WordPress Foundation has the right and permission to use and publish such media — which may include your name, likeness, voice, city/state of residence, or photograph — for any purpose in any format, online (including, but not limited to, WordPress.tv and WordCamp.org) and/or offline, now and hereafter without further compensation, permission, or notification. You understand that all official recordings from the event are the exclusive property of the WordPress Foundation, available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license for general use. You will not ask for nor expect compensation or notification of the use of official recordings or photographs in which you appear or speak.

WordCamp NYC is at the United Nations this year. All persons attending will need to have a government issued photo id (passport, drivers license, non-driver id etc) in order to gain admittance to the UN. Much like boarding an airplane (or gaining entry to main office buildings in NYC) , there will be a security check as you enter.

If you’d like to propose multiple topics, please submit the form multiple times, once for each topic.

Call for speakers is closed! Thanks to all who applied.
